Dr. S. Parthasarathy (born 1950) obtained his
Engineering Doctorate (Docteur Ingénieur) in Control Engineering, from the Automatic
Control Laboratory of Grenoble, INPG, France (in 1980). His research work was
rated "excellent, highly commended by the jury" (très
honorable et les félicitations du jury)
He has an optimal mix of rich industrial experience and
internationally recognised R & D, in : Software
Engineering for Automation and Control, Applied Formal Methods,
Safety-critical systems, security.
He created and led the Control Systems Group, at the
R & D Centre of CMC Limited, India (1980-1993), where
he contributed to the development of various industry-grade software
products in the fields of automation and real time systems.
Since 1993, he owns and operates a Consultancy enterprise called
Algologic
Research & Solutions. Algologic has
successfully completed projects and consultancy assignments for
clients and end-users in
India, France, Germany, China, Thailand, Brazil, Spain, U.K, and
Indonesia.
In addition to his extensive, first-hand experience of over two
decades, in the industry, he has an excellent record of
research related activities in various international
institutions.
Dr. Partha is
also an internationally respected teacher and trainer. He is
involved in both traditional (University level) teaching, and
non-traditional teaching.

the Third Millennium Medal for "outstanding
contributions to the profession".

of LaTeX. He was also invited by
the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), to
organise and Chair a session at their 15th World Congress in
Barcelona, Spain.
He speaks French and
English, very fluently, in addition to various other Indian
languages: Tamil (mother tongue), Telugu, Hindi. He has also studied informally
(but seriously):
Esperanto, Chinese (Cantonese), Malayalam and German. He has then stuffed the
rest of his head, with uncommon "languages" like -- Forth, Lisp,
Ada, SPARK, Prolog, CLP(R), Perl .......
Socially responsible citizen
He has made several contributions to
free (gratis) web-based learning and
non-traditional teaching, and the open source
software movement.
In his spare time, he provides free advice and technical
assistance for making
handicapped
accessible buildings and structures.
He is a serious promoter of
eco-friendly, organic farming. He actively practices
vermiculture based gardening.
He is a volunteer organ donor:
- Volunteer blood donor and motivator
- Voluntarily donated/pledged his eyes to the
"Eye bank association of India". He has also been instrumental in
organising "eye donation camps" in rural India
- Volunteer "whole body donor". Donated his entire body for
medical research and studies. All his organs can be used for
cadaver transplant, through MOHAN Foundation -- Multiple Organ
Harvesting Network
